Sportsnet Now stopping its Cable tie with Apple TV log-in

If you’re a sport fan I have good news for you, Sportsnet Now is finally stopping its tie to cable. It means that you don’t need a cable subscription with Sportsnet Now to login and use their Apple TV app. If you’re a subscriber to Rogers, you can now login through your Apple TV app on smartphone, TV or tablet and watch any Canadian sports match that you’d like. You can also stream matches on your TV through Apple AirPlay however this is not the best option both in terms of speed and convenience.

This is perfect timing as the app option will be available for the coming baseball season. With the app you can view any sports live channels offered by Rogers such as Blue Jay games, NBA and NFA. The price is not that cheap, it starts at $25/month. I hope that by time Rogers will add more content to its library so that sports subscribers will be able to watch matches after they’ve been aired.
